IMC Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a degreed Electrical Engineer, preferably with an EIT Certification, with 0-3 years of experience for an Entry Level Position. Applicant will be tasked with the design of electrical systems (primarily lighting, power, fire alarm) for commercial, institutional, and municipal projects. Senior staff will be available for assistance during the design process, with the goal of helping applicants to be able to design independently.

Applicants should have a love for solving problems, a desire to learn, good communication skills, and a strong work ethic. Applicants should be willing to ask questions and collaborate with senior staff, they should take pride in their work, and they should have an honest concern for the clients we work for and employees they work with.

Location and Travel: IMC is a Metairie, LA-based firm that provides professional engineering services primarily for the Greater New Orleans Area and surrounding Parishes. Very few projects are located out of state or would require an overnight stay to visit a project site.

Profit Sharing: Company profits at the end of each year are shared with employees.

Vacation: Employees earn 1 week of vacation after 6 months of employment, earn 2 weeks after the first year of employment, and earn 3 weeks annually after being employed for 5 years.

Work Experience:

• Our company designs systems for all types of buildings. Employees are not relegated to designs for one type of facility or system, as may be the case in a larger company or at a company with a very specific clientele (i.e., oil and gas, utility).
• Every project is different.
• Project design duration lasts several weeks or months, not years.
• Our designers and engineers are involved in projects from design through construction. Employees get to see the result of what they designed.

Benefit Conditions: Only full-time employees eligible.

Schedule: Monday to Friday.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $62,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year

Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET Accredited Institution (Required).

License/Certification:

• Engineer In Training certification (Preferred)
• Passed FE Exam (Required)
