IMC provided MEP professional of record design services for the 150,000 sq-ft 3-story new construction high school. The high efficiency MEP systems included a 500-ton air cooled chilled water plant with heat recovery and a 4000 MBH hot water plant with condensing boilers. All heating and cooling water was distributed using skid mounted variable primary pumping systems. Airside systems consisted of dedicated outside air units with exhaust side total energy recovery wheels ducted to air terminal units or air handler mixing boxes and controlled via demand control ventilation strategies. Ventilation requirements were met using variable air volume chilled water air handling units ducted to local air terminal units featuring re-heat coils. Large spaces such as the Auditorium and Gymnasium were conditioned using 4-pipe single zone variable air volume type units. Direct expansion cooling units were provided for the IT spaces. New electrical and data services were brought into the building. IMC designed the lighting, power, fire alarm, stage lighting and dimming systems for the project. The project included LED lighting in all classrooms and DLM lighting controls in the classrooms.
